Lab Testing

In addition to traditional blood tests done by mainstream western medicine, the physicians at The Wellness Center have researched other lab tests that are useful in assessing and treating illnesses. These tests may be especially helpful when addressing health problems that have been difficult to diagnose or are unresponsive to traditional treatment. Testing might include vitamin and mineral analysis, digestive testing, essential fatty acid analysis, male and female hormone balance, heavy metal toxicity, allergy testing, gene testing for predisposition to specific chronic diseases, and many more. Specific testing can help uncover the root of illness and make treatment more effective.

Medical Microscopy

Peripheral Blood Assessment using high resolution microscopy is a research based procedure that has been used internationally since 1979. It offers a quick and simple way to assess disease processes. It helps determine whether an illness is acute or chronic, mild or severe, and gives a general idea as to what physiological system requires support. This can include nutritional, enzyme, hormonal, immune, or antioxidant support. For example, by observing the morphology of the white blood cells and their activity in contrast to the extent of active foreign antigens and microbes within the serum and red blood cells, the strength of the immune system can be judged. Both Dr. Rollins and Dr. Dennis have been trained to use this type of microscopy. They find it not only helps them identify organ systems that are out of balance but it can also be used to monitor the response to treatment. The physician can monitor the body's basic cellular structure and biochemical pathways to fine tune supportive therapies. Although it is not intended to be used for making a diagnosis, it is a "state of the art" tool in preventing illness, maintaining optimal health, and extending quality of life.
